The Times Party
I am one of the most political people you'll meet outside of politics. I have ideas and views about the way the United Kingdom is run, and if The Times Party had the funding, there would be a party which would cut crime within a year as that would be priority, the economy would improve in a sensible way unlike how the ConDems are doing things, and Britain would be GREAT again.

THE LAWS WILL CHANGE TO STOP CRIME
One of the main problems we have in this country is crime. In the 2010 elections, there was hardly any mention of stopping crime, and all the focus was on improving the economy. If the ConDems have failed with their biggest issue, you can see why crime will be going up over the next couple of years.
How would The Times Party help to stop crime? Community prisons would be brought in, as well as the stocks returning to towns. Petty criminals would be too scared to break the law because of the consequences.
The Community Prisons would have special sentences for all people, including 10-18 year olds. One offence would be a 24 hour stay, the next would be 48 hours, and with every crime the sentence would add a day. There would be no visits and there'd be no luxuries. There would be education given to everyone who entered the community prisons.
If these petty criminals got out of hand, they'd be sentenced to a proper prison where it wouldn't be a few hours or days, it'd be years. ASBOs are the most ridiculous things ever made and criminals see them as an achievement. They'd be instantly scrapped.
Main prisons would also change and would be similar to community prisons, just with more security. There'd be no special foods, only the nutrients to keep a person alive. Prisons under the Times Party ruling wouldn't be hotels, as they are under any other government that's got in.
Human Rights would vanish for murderers. They didn't care about the people they kill, and the people they've hurt who have lost family and friends due to these murderers. A prison sentence of a few measly years for a criminal and is nothing compared to the sentence of family and friends of a victim. Lethal injection would be brought in for major criminals.
You see, under The Times Party, crime WOULD be cut down!

NEW COMMUNITY POLICE
A problem with the ConDem Government.. they want to cut EVERYTHING! Including the Police Force. Instead of cutting the Police, turn half of them into Community Police Officers who have more power. Scrap Traffic Wardens as well and give them the new role. This new force would cover the area more, more officers on the beat, having power to put tickets on illegally parked cars where usually the owners wouldn't get a fine (helping towards funding the Police), talk to the community to help clear up bad areas, and making us all feel a lot safer.
SMOKING BAN NEW RULES
Labour brought in smoking bans that confused everyone and crippled a lot of businesses. The smoking laws would change to suit everyone.
When Labour banned smoking in pubs, there was a massive closure of public houses because people couldn't smoke in them. At warehouses and shops, the new laws also meant the smoking rooms had to be closed and all staff had to go out into the street smoking, not only in the cold, but annoying the public at the same time.
Smoking areas would come back in work places, and smoking would be banned in the street. A complete reversal of what we have now, and what the Labour Party should have done in the first place... which we all thought was happening anyway.
In public houses, smoking rooms will be an option, and it must be made very clear at the entrance of each pub and restaurant what the policies are. There are a lot of people who like the cleaner places, but the majority prefer smoking in pubs, and a lot of people hate people smoking in the street. The Times Party would make more people happy than upsetting anyone, and businesses would of course be improved due to this new law.
If anyone was caught smoking in public, it would result in a fine and all cigarettes being confiscated.

THE ECONOMY WOULD GROW
The ConDems are so stupid when it comes to money. They go on and on about Labour putting us into debt, when it was in fact earlier idiots such as Margaret Thatcher that sold us out in the first place. Our economy cannot grow if we have no businesses, and we're still losing companies to America and the Middle East even today, we'd have to make sure that kind of thing stops.
Right now, we're being put through a major cut in funding for everything, including the NHS which the Conservatives said they wouldn't do. It's always going to be a case of the poor getting poorer with them.
One thing The Times Party would do is cut taxes for smaller businesses. It's sad to see so many towns have small shops closed. Gone are the olden days of when towns were healthy with little shops, and that's now history with so many big supermarkets ruining everything. Supermarkets would remain, they create a lot of employment, but if rates were lower, perhaps the smaller shops would be able to afford to make a come back and make a living for themselves, creating work for people and making towns look heathly again.

MP's EXPENSES
The biggest joke in this country is the current Member of Parliaments expenses plan. They claim for food and a second house in London. This would be scrapped as soon as The Times Party took office. There would be a place in or near London like a dormitory where MP's could stay, instead of having their second houses, or MP's staying in hotels. This place could be an old building refurbished, or even a new building made especially. Either way, it'd cut the costs of MP's claims in the long run.
There'd be no more claiming for light bulbs and food. The people that get minimum wage have to pay for everything out of their low wages. As MP's get a large wage, there's no need for a lot of things they claim for. This would be sorted immediately.

EUTHANASIA
It's strange why so many people are against putting someone to sleep to help them. Euthanasia would be law in the UK under The Times Party. It'd be like a Donor Card though and must be stated before either an accident causing serious harm or mental issues come into play. This would be a contract, and if a Doctor says there's no hope and only suffering, if that persons wishes have been contracted, then it will be done. This is the only way Euthanasia can happen.

BURQA BAN
France have led the way into banning the Burqa. It's also something that would happen in the UK under the Times Party rule. We're constantly under the threat of terrorists bombing us and these Burqa's are a handy way to hide devices. This is Great Britain, not the Middle East, and the people who are born and bred here don't need to feel unsafe because of people wearing Burqa's. Fair enough, it's a religion and a belief that wearing these items of clothing is right, but not in the UK. For one, I feel it's a disrespect to women, and disrespectful to the people who have to deal with anyone wearing a Burqa. It's where multiculturalism fails. Anyone coming into the UK should respect our culture, as we do when we go to other countries. If anyone went into certain countries in the Middle East and did things their people didn't believe, they wouldn't just 'NOT' accept it, they'd put them to death. Burqa's WOULD be banned in the UK.

COUNCILS WOULD GAIN INSTEAD OF WASTING MONEY
Did you know that each area of the country gets a budget every year to do things in the community. From fixing roads (which should come out of road taxes) to running public toilets, and covering wages for all the slackers you see walking around the streets pretending to do a job. When it gets close to the budget when each Council wants more money for their area, they dig roads up that don't need digging up, and other stupid things to waste all the cash so they can get the same amount for the following year. STUPID! Under the Times Party, each area would get the same benefits but the money left over from the previous year would remain in that area for a rainy day, or to create new jobs for the community. Wasting money just to get more is insane, and a reason why this country is a bloody tip.
