As the title says steel is on the rise as the Sheffield Steelers move into 2nd place even with the lose to the Belfast Giants 2 weeks ago the Steelers came back the week later with a 4 point weekend then on Valentines day beat arch rivals the Nottingham Panthers to move 7 points behind the Giants with 5 games in hand over the Giants and haveing to play the them 3 more time before the end of the season wich it could go down to the final weekend of league play just as it did last year with the Steelers comeing out on top.
In other news this years final of the Challenge Cup is all set with a repeat of last years final with holders the Nottingham Panthers will play the Belfast Giants in a 2 leg final with the Giants favs to win the cup haveing beat the Panthers last weekend twice with many thinking that the are now out of the League race and now looking to the Challenge Cup and Play-offs for silver ware to there name this season.
