Want to apologize for the absence of blogs, just haven’t been able to write for the last few months... blogs, fanfics, anything... Hasn’t been the first time or the last time I go through a dry patch like that! It happens sadly.
But enough of that dark stuff...
Since my last blog – which I believe was October Expo... just have had so much happening, with Leo moving in and us trying to sort the flat out into our own way. That’s still ongoing – with decorating and getting new shelves for our bigger DVD / games collection between us!
The artwork has been started, and it will take some time but it will get done with photos going up onto deviantART once they are finished!
Have had a quiet Christmas, just Leo and my family... Doctor Who was brilliant and very cute, very Christmas-y! I enjoyed it but found the key to enjoying Doctor Who from now on – avoid the hype! I avoid the trailers, the press before the episodes... the works! I enjoy the show more for it!
New years, usually would go off to Bristol and spend time partying – for a change of pace... but just felt worn out and tired from the pace of work, so we just spent a quiet new years – just the two of us... and enjoyed watching the fireworks on TV.
2012 – London Olympics! Well so far not really sure what this is bringing to the UK, they say more jobs... but do they mean more jobs for the UK or for people outside of the country coming in... It is very hard to find jobs around our local area with shops closing down or moving. Even with plans of new stores coming... yeah well enough of that stress.
At least the Olympics is missing Expo, that to me is the most important thing!
Expo... well got plans for the costumes already – sorting out the tickets ( Not happy that all train tickets & expo tickets have gone up... ) and got the hotel sorted already! Now just for the costumes...
So far I’m planning on bringing Parsley the Lion back but because I refuse to be in big cosplays after October Expo 2011... He will be worn Friday and possibly for a little while Sunday! Otherwise, for the weekend it will be the Pichu Brothers from Pokemon – something simple to wear that will take a bashing quite well!
But before May Expo, I have to get Donatello from TMNT fixed up – with a new shell ready for a event in end of March and possibly end of April! Got Corsham SciFi day on the 28th April, Colin Baker is attending, so be brilliant to meet him again!
Not sure about the big Dalek Invasion in August but we’ll see... not hopeful but we’ll see!
Really struggling to write at the moment, so my fanfictions are being drawn out with issues with my writing spark – but once Spring is here then it will come back! Just dries up in the coldest parts of Winter!
For now, cuddled up on the couch... TV on and thinking of doing some gaming... Will update again soon!
